ABOUT SEGE

SEGE (Seattle Eastside Guitar Ensemble) is a group of classical guitar enthusiasts, professionals and amateurs, who enjoy playing and performing together. SEGE includes guitarists: Bob Baskerville, Brian Dunbar, Tan Che, Scott Chung, Cathlyn  Klassen, Matt Klassen, Jessica Papkoff, and Daniel Khain.  In Korean SEGE means world, which reflects our diverse member backgrounds and interests. We make many of our own guitar arrangements. Meeting 1-3 times per month, we share music and food, accompanied by humor, and some serious practice. In summer, we enjoy Bob's Guitar-b-cue; In the Fall we go on a weekend retreat, to play music, work on performances, relax, and prepare for the Seattle Classical Guitar Society holiday concert, which occurs each December.   In the Spring, we enjoy participating in "Bach in the Subways", an annual event which encourages public performances of Bach's music.  Past members of SEGE include: Chelsea Toledo, Nancy Bonnington, Peter Caruso, Carlo Cristiano, Didi Jansen, Stella Kosim, Vinay Krishnaswamy, and Lawrence Schwedler.
